Graduate program offers update

Outstanding Graduate Student

The JMC graduate program continues to provide learning opportunities to our students and prepare them for the workforce and higher degrees.

Our recent graduates are excelling in various positions and gaining admissions to doctoral programs.  Four recent graduates are pursuing their doctorates: Jennifer Duck Brown (Clemson University), Yahya Alzahrany (Virginia Commonwealth University), Suraiya Shammi (George Mason University), and Shuai Guo (University of Kentucky).

Also, our 2019-2020 top graduate student is Cierra Laird. Laird is the executive coordinator and social media specialist at LLT Group in Chicago and manages her own company, the Clairdy creations.

Dr. Bella Ezumah, graduate director, presents the Outstanding Graduate Student Award to Cierra Laird.
