Alumnus Cory Sharber recently was featured in an NPR segment about the excitement surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals days before the Super Bowl.
Sharber was a journalism and political science major at Murray State and worked for WKMS and the Murray State News during his undergraduate career. Here’s a link to his NPR piece that originated on member station WVXU in Cincinnati where he is a reporter.

Alumna Breanna Sill was included on the 30 under 30: Nashville’s Next Generation of Leaders list.
Compiled by the Nashville Briefing, the list recognizes up-and-coming leaders in the creative industry. Sill is director of artist development and management at Truth Management. She previously worked at Big Machine Label Group and United Talent Agency.
Sill also was recognized by Music Row’s “Next Big Thing” list in November.
Bill Bartleman, retired political reporter for The Paducah Sun and a Murray State alumnus, wrote an opinion piece for the Washington Post about the resilience of far western Kentucky and Mayfield after an EF-4 tornado ripped through the region on Dec. 10. Read here (gift link).
Alumnae Taylor Shea West and Madison Morgan were featured in a Vue magazine article by professor Leigh Landini Wright. West and Morgan told their stories about reporting on the destruction caused by the Mayfield tornado. Read their story here.
Morgan Shoemaker, a television production and journalism graduate, recently accepted a job as a producer at WCMH-NBC 4 in Columbus, Ohio.
