Top seniors honored on World Press Freedom Day

The JMC department celebrated its top students during a hallway ceremony during World Press Freedom Day on May 3.

The honors celebration originally was planned as a banquet, but when All Campus Sing was rescheduled for April 28, the department had to pivot to a new celebration plan.

The following students were honored:

Haley Bundren, outstanding public relations student

Jill Smith and Cady Stribling, outstanding journalism students

MacKenzie Cato, the Robert Norsworthy Award for outstanding advertising student

Chrissy Taylor and Maya Snyder, outstanding graphic communications media students

Joey Reynolds, outstanding television production student

Merilee Embs, outstanding graduate student
