JMC Journal Podcast: The man behind the political ink

The JMC Journal podcast is a production of the Murray State University Department of Journalism and Mass Communications. In this podcast, we will have conversations with students, faculty and alumni and tell their stories about creating media.

In this first episode, JMC student Simon Elfrink interviews Marc Murphy, a political cartoonist for the Louisville (Ky.) Courier-Journal. Murphy spoke at Murray State for the inaugural McGaughey Lecture on Press Freedom and Responsibility. In this interview, Murphy discusses his artistic process, the value of dissent and the role of a free press today.
