High School Media Workshop highlights fall schedule

High school media students and their advisers will attend the fall Murray State University High
School Media Workshop on Monday, October 23 in the Curris Center.

The JMC department typically hosts a fall workshop, but the recent pandemic altered those
plans. The department could not offer the workshop in 2020, 2021 or 2022, but the workshop
returned in March 2023 with more than 100 students and teachers in attendance. Students took
workshop sessions from Murray State faculty and students, including a hands-on photography
class and a hands-on video class.

For the fall workshop, students again can take hands-on lessons that will help them to prepare
for their upcoming publications and productions.
