Terracina-Hartman takes leadership role with JMC professional association

Dr. Carol Terracina-Hartman was elected to AEJMC’s Professional Freedom & Responsibility committee. She plans to vacate her seat on the Magazine Media division leadership and step up to this new national role in October.

Terracina-Hartman was also appointed to the MagLab advisory committee where she will help plan conferences, research and outreach. This is the only organization dedicated to magazine research internationally, thus also allowing her to utilize her writing skills in Portuguese as well as English.

During the spring 2025 semester, Terracina-Hartman also trained to serve as a judge for the Stillwater Awards, SPJ’s Prison Journalism Project.
