The News<\/em> remains a student-run and editorially independent publication. Eight students are currently involved as the editorial board, which makes the policy and content decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n News<\/em> staffers will post content regularly to the website (TheNews.org). These stories will highlight campus news and activities, student life, updates and announcements about events, feature stories, opinion pieces and sports updates, previews and recaps. The News<\/em> also aims to produce more multimedia content including photos, videos and eventually audio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis is a new era at The Murray State News<\/em>,\u201d co-editors Jill Smith and Jakob Milani wrote in the Welcome Back first edition. \u201cWe are so excited to continue sharing stories important to the Murray State community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The move to digital-first reflects the changes in the news industry.
