Alumna discusses election coverage with in-depth reporting students

Jennifer P. Brown, editor of the Hoptown Chronicle, shared ideas for election coverage with students enrolled in JMC 397 In-Depth Reporting.

Brown, an alumna, runs the nonprofit online Hoptown Chronicle site. She told the students that the best way to prepare for Election Night coverage is to prepare now and do their research into candidates. The students will research local candidates and write a story before Election Night.

The students will collaborate with the Murray State News to provide Election Night coverage of races in Calloway County.
